I recently had the opportunity to ask Penelope Bloodworth some questions about her amazing journey as a ballerina. She graces the stage with poise and grace. Her passion and dedication to ballet is incredible. Below are her responses.
Q1: When did you start ballet?
I started dancing when I was 3 but I started strictly training ballet when I was 11.
Q2: Where do you currently dance?
I currently dance at The Florida Ballet at Jacksonville, Fl.
Q3: How long have you been en pointe for?
I have been on pointe for 3 years.
Q4: What pointe shoes do you currently wear?
Th pointe shoes I currently wear is Grishko Maya.
Q5: How did you first get involved in ballet?
I got involved in ballet by watching the nutcracker.
Q6: What is your favourite variation?
My favorite variation is Lilac Fairy.
Q7: What company would you love to work for?
The company I would love to work for is Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre or San Francisco.
Q8: Do you have a favourite memory/moment in ballet?
My favorite ballet memory is when I performed Clara. A9: My ballet role models are Osipova and Sakariva.

Q10: Best advice you’ve ever received from a teacher?
The best advice that any teacher has given me is ballerinas aren’t picked because of their technic, they are picked because of their passion.

Q12: What do you like to do when you aren’t dancing (your free time)?
When I am not dancing I like to shop, hangout with my friends, go to the beach, go to the movies, and walk my dog.
