Q&A With American Ballerina Olivia Dugan

I recently had the chance to ask Olivia Dugan some questions about her journey as a ballerina. Olivia is an amazing dancer, she graces the stage with poise and grace. Her dedication and passion for ballet is incredible. Below are her responses.

Q1: When did you start ballet?

5 years old

Q2: Where do you currently dance?

Washington Ballet

Q3: How long have you been en pointe for?

5-6 year’s

Q4: What pointe shoes do you currently wear?

Russian Pointes

Q5: How did you first get involved in ballet?

My parents had me audition for Washington Ballet after I constantly danced around the house and a friend suggested it

Q6: What is your favourite variation?

I love paquita wedding and white swan

Q7: What company would you love to work for?

ABT or san Francisco are dream companies

Q8: Do you have a favourite memory/moment in ballet?

Dancing clara this year in the nutcracker

Q9: Who are your ballet roles models? Dancers that inspire you.

Isabella Boylston, Svetlana Zhakarova, Julie Kent, plus so many more

Q10: Best advice you’ve ever received from a teacher?

In order to be a good dancer, you must be an even better performer.

Q11: Classical or romantic tutu?

Classical

Q12: What do you like to do when you aren’t dancing (your free time)?

Hang with friends, cross train, listen to music idk ahah
