Q&A With American Ballerina Maddie B

I recently had the chance to ask Maddie B some questions about her journey as a ballerina. Maddie is an amazing dancer, she graces the stage with poise and elegance. Her passion and dedication to ballet is incredible. Below are her responses.

Q1: When did you start ballet?

I started ballet when i was 4(?) I think😂

Q2: Where do you currently dance?

I currently dance with Academy of Russian Classical Ballet

Q3: How long have you been en pointe for?

I’ve been en pointe for 4 or 5 years

Q4: What pointe shoes do you currently wear?

I currently wear Suffolk pointe shoes

Q5: How did you first get involved in ballet?

I first got involved with ballet when my parents bought me a dance set called Bella Dancerella

Q6: What is your favourite variation?

My favorite variation of all time is Kitri Variation Act 1

Q7: What company would you love to work for?

I don’t have a specific company I’d love to work for yet.

Q8: Do you have a favourite memory/moment in ballet?

I don’t have a specific favorite moment, but my favorite moment(s) are in rehearsals

Q9: Who are your ballet roles models? Dancers that inspire you.

My dance role model is definitely Sventlana. she’s just perfect😍

Q10: Best advice you’ve ever received from a teacher?

Best advice was from my previous teacher. It was to not focus on the rejections, and to just remember that everyone has room to improve. Nobody’s perfect

Q11: Classical or romantic tutu?

I love romantic tutus, but I’d prefer a classical tutu over a romantic tutu

Q12: What do you like to do when you aren’t dancing (your free time)?

I love to dress up as Disney characters for kids parties and events. That’s definitely my favorite thing to do in my free time
